See What a Day as a Mock Juror Looks Like

In this two-minute video, our director of recruiting, John, walks you through a real Truscott Research event, from check-in and breakfast to hearing actual attorneys argue both sides of a case, to deliberating with fellow jurors and reaching a verdict. You’ll see the full day, including when and how you get paid, before you leave the event.

What to expect:

  • Hours: Most events run from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • At Arrival: Verify your ID and complete a quick check-in.
  • Meals and breaks: We provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks. You’ll get a break every two hours and a 30-minute lunch.
  • The case: Hear actual attorneys present both sides of a real court case. After each presentation, you’ll complete a short survey to share your thoughts.
  • Deliberation: In the afternoon, you’ll deliberate with your fellow jurors and return a verdict.
  • Focus group: Our researchers will talk with the group about what stood out to you and which evidence swayed you.
  • Payment: After a final survey, you’re paid before you leave the event.
